Commiting to a viable topic is an imperative section provided in the reading. In order to create a well-thought out project, it is important to choose a topic that isn't overdone, so a new and interesting perspective can be introduced to the audience. Another vital piece of information given touched on the idea of selecting a topic that we are passionate about. Passion encourages writers to produce their best work, therefore picking a topic that we could easily become bored with is not the way to go. Along with interest, however, our topic must provide us with reliable sources of information. To attain credibility in our research, the organization we are researching must also be credible. Over all, choosing a topic with originality, passion, and credibility puts us on the right track in displaying a project that is enjoyable and memorable.
For my topic of choice, I am looking into medical clubs found on campus, such as MEDLIFE, a student organization that aims to serve low-income familes, and HOSA, an organization catering to students interested in health care professions.
